The momentum is really building as we get closer to opening day at Sage Summit 2011. And even though I’ve been personally involved in the annual Sage channel partner conference dating back to 2000 with “Visions” in Palm Springs (a Sage Employee at the time), this year’s conference should be interesting as we see (for the first time) Sage VARs and Customers together at the same event.
Put a Face to the Name
One of the most important aspects of our participation as an exhibitor at Sage Summit 2011 is the rare opportunity to see and shake hands with our customers … in some cases, for the first time ever. We work with Sage channel partners throughout North America and don’t often have an opportunity to see them face to face. Sure, you can get business done online, by email, and by phone. But there’s an indescribable dynamic that comes into play when you share a lunch, sit down for a drink, or enjoy a “Night at the Museum” with someone that you’ve spoken to countless times by phone but have never met.
And perhaps this year more than ever before, Sage Summit 2011 also provides a fantastic opportunity to finally meet some of the folks we’ve connected with on LinkedIn and regularly chat with on Twitter.
Industry Trends and Opportunities
Another important objective in exhibiting and attending Sage Summit 2011 is to listen closely to conversations, key note speeches, and general chatter which always provides fantastic insight into emerging industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. No other place can we learn first-hand what’s going on in the channel and how we can help Sage partners generate more leads, stay top of mind with prospects, and grow your business!
